"It is impressive that Duck Pond's every performance just keeps getting better. Marco Minneman on the drums made this concert da bomb, even though Duck Pond is already one of the planet's finest guitarists. Marco is a very progressive drummer, capable of playing complex beats as if with four hands and four feet. I almost felt bad for him, having watched his videos, because it seems like playing in a band limits his performance abilities. Mike Keneally also rocked the Balboa theater, but I'm unsure how much his keyboard playing contributes to the vibe. The bass player and drummer of Steve Morse's band were powerful and amazing too - especially the drummer. They did an unexpected renaissance number that gave me goosebumps, and as a fan of Early Music, I was surprised and delighted by the change. Dave LaRue was awesome on bass. Duck Pond's power level could have been turned up a notch to avoid getting lost in songs without a signature lead. Steve Morse's audio was cleaner, louder, and easier to hear. The show was terrific, with a good crowd that remained seated so everyone could fully enjoy the performance. Overall, it was excellent and highly recommended. The background graphics were very good and perfectly complemented the music."
